We Are NEW
The mission of NEW is to dive into culture without being culture in order to empower believers to become fully NEW in Christ. We aspire to create and produce unconventional, yet authentic environments for both Christians and non-Christians to join hands, allowing the fragrance of the Holy Spirit to overcome the stench of darkness.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].
What does it mean to be NEW?
Just as 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, when one is in Christ, the old things have gone and new things have come. Another way of saying this is we are no longer our old selves when accepting the Lord. Kainos (kahee-nos) is the Greek word for “new” found in the Bible. Used 42 times in 36 different verses in the New Testament, it clearly should hold significance to the believer. When you examine the uses of the word in the Bible as it pertains to a “new self” we find that it includes NEW desires, NEW thoughts, a NEW mind, and a NEW heart… truly transformed into a NEW creation.

Vision
The vision we have been given is unlike many outreaches and might be NEW to many onlookers. NEW Productions’ vision is created by the apparent lack of vision. If you examine the outerworks and cultural presence of any single production, it might first appear to appeal to the secular. However, as you examine the gospels, you find Jesus hanging with the tax collectors and prostitutes. He goes into the broken places and the darkest alleyways to provide healing and to bring light. We shall never conform to culture. But, we can be in it, have fun, and produce the beautiful fragrance of the Holy Spirit that is so attractive in a lost generation. Our vision is to provide a Christlike, enjoyable, authentic, party environment for ALL.
